If anyone would like an ad to help support the newsletter,and to get your word out to over a thousand readers, Ads go from business card size to full page. A business card size is $75 for three months, $140- six months, $275- 12 months. I/4 page will be $150 for three months $280 - six months, $550 -12 months. A 1/2 page will be $300 for 3 months, $560-6 months, $1120-12 months.
The elevator project is still ongoing. The State has finally approved a grant for the elevator. An engineering firm is being contacted and perhaps construction can start soon. A big thank you to all who made this possible and especially Elmo Norton who was the first to initiate action on this project.

The hall rentals are doing very well with some dates taken well into next year. there are usually openings on week days as well as some still open on weekends due to cancellations. check with Jill 635 8186

The golf tournament and flotilla are being planned for 2010 see events calendar.
The RV parking area is open!!! we can accomodate eight campers at once with full hookups,water, sewer, power. the cost is only $15 a day with a 2 week maximum. It is available to all paid up American Legion members from any post.

The boat ramp dock is complete
Up dated wiring in the lounge was recently completed. There are always improvements going on around the post, thanks to all those who have volunteered and thanks and a big well done to Commander Engdahl for leading the way on the improvements!
Every Wednesday is a work day at the post, primarily grounds upkeep. If anyone would like to help come on out around 8 am.
The post is looking for some good local bands to play in the lounge on some Fridays.If someone is enterested call the legion office and leave the info.
We have the 2009 gun raffle going on, tickets are $50 . Drawings have begun. It is based on the Louisana pick 3 Saturday numbers.
